| Open a new image 200x200 24 bit with a white background. Select the
selection tool: circle, feather=0. Use the Filter Factory V, Poster Gradient I
plugin, choose the settings you like best. I used color cycle=34, step=24, i-dependence=0.

Make a copy of this image then paste it over this image as a new layer,
and rotate it by 90 degrees right. |
| Now go to Layers/Properties/Blend Mode=difference or multiply. I choose
Difference. |

Then over this image I pasted the original again as a new layer, and
rotated it 90 degrees left. |
| Then I played around with this image to see what I could do with it. I
altered it with some buttonizing plugin filters to make buttons and bullets.... |
