Making the Frame - part 1

First I start with a large area. I choose the selection tool and set the shape to Rounded Rectangle (PSP6), but you could use any shape. I left antialias checked because I want a well blended edge.
Next I flood fill the area. Then I choose Selections/Contract/20 pixels (or however much you want).


Next - with white choosen as my background color - I delete the center, and select/none.
At this time you can decorate the corners if you wanted to, by pasting graphics over the corners.
